Ndidi's in a book!

Yippee! Ndidi has a fabulous project in this new book, Beading With Charms. It's out really soon from Lark Press and her project is a multistrand necklace with multiple charms and lockets hanging down. She has some lockets filled with charms set into resin, as well. The book looks great, you can see Lois and Mary looking very excited to see that Ndidi's project is also featured on the contents page and in detail throughout the book. It was cool to see the preview copy before it hits the big wide world.

Congrats, Ndidi!

Hurdy Gurdy...

is our Staff Challenge theme this month.

We have a monthly staff challenge; everyone makes something. Usually we give everyone a bag with a bit of this and that and folks have to come up with some coherent project out of it. This month, we decided on the Hurdy Gurdy theme. No stuff in a bag, just the words Hurdy Gurdy. I have been the judge since I have been working on the book and couldn't make projects. This will be my last month being the judge and I am kinda sad to miss the Hurdy Gurdy theme...

but I am excited to see the projects. Next time you come in the store, just ask the staff member you see and find out what they are working on. Since I am the judge, I can't harass them.

The super luscious layouts on those pages are the work of Sandy, our digital artiste. Nice, eh?

New tee shirt love!

Ahh, I treated myself to a new tee shirt this last week. It's this custom job from the lovely Saidie of etsy.com. She's a doll, she printed up this shirt for me in my own color combo and it looks great. It fits great, too, just tight enough and not too deep of a v-neck.

I was first attracted to Saidie's shop by her jewelry, but I fell in love with this vintage sewing machine image. I felt so incredibly cool today in my metallic print tee. Of course, I was wearing Keen sandals with white socks, so I wasn't all that cool.

Go visit Saidie and tell her I sent you.
