the FTC made me say it...

The FTC recently ruled that bloggers must disclose any merchandise or money they receive from supporters if they blog about the products/events/activities of the supporters. I think this is silly, as magazines have gotten swag from advertisers for years without ever having to say 'boo' about it. Plus, how the FTC thinks they will EVER keep track of the gazillion bloggers active on the world wide interwebs is just beyond me.
