It's Spring Break at my house and, according to my middle school daughter, we are not doing it right. I figured she could use her time off school to work on math skills by doing some work for mom and dad at the bead store.

Her vision was a bit different. I am pretty sure it involved a lot of time at a mythical beach vacation, maybe with a zip-line tour and some swimming with the dolphins. Aside from the fact that she doesn't have that much money in her savings account, her sister has a different break schedule this year, so we are staying home. Her first day of break involved the grocery store, laundry, and cutting up tee shirts to make tank tops.

One last thing, I just booked a special class with Suzanna Oware, our African bead trader. She's going to discuss and explain the secrets behind patterns, colors and designs. If you've long admired African trade beads for their beauty, come learn what they mean at this special class. Suzie will be here for a trunk show on April 24-25, the class will be the night before the trunk show on April 23rd. Click here to learn more.

I'll see you soon, I'm off to work on my tan. Or fold some laundry. Whatever.
