Weekly newsletter - the message from Cynthia

From our weekly store newsletter-

I'm sorry for my late-day Tuesday email. I wish I could say that I was enjoying a Spring-Break-related sleep in, but that was not the case. I got behind because of the potent combo of Enameling Camp/wall painting/broken phone.

Actually, that's not a very good excuse. Well, the wall painting is. If you haven't yet seen the experimental color on the back wall, come check it out. I've finally decided on something that only requires about 16 coats of glaze and dry brush. It shows the beads off nicely and is a lovely change from the buttercream color we've enjoyed for so many years. Now if I could only get the painting finished...

About my phone? let's just say that they gave me a complete replacement. I've been kinda quiet on the social medias lately, as my phone had basically decided to turn itself into a very fancy rectangle of black glass and plastic. With wifi, sometimes. I'm glad it is fixed.

The enameling camp is going beautifully. The campers are hard at work on their projects and have been enjoying the new techniques and materials they've played with. If you missed out on our Spring camp, watch for the date announcement for the Fall version. Laura will be back with all-new projects and even more techniques.

In the advance-notice department, we are putting together a fab group of classes and make-n-takes for Mother's Day weekend. What does mom want? She wants to take a class! Maybe with you, or maybe by herself, or maybe with your favorite auntie. Watch this space and the classes page for lots of great classes you and mom will both love.

do you want to create a special gift?

graduation, weddings, and transitions
Somehow, it seems like so many folks I know are gearing up for a transition this season. Nephews are graduating, friends are moving away, couples are marrying.

A wonderful gift for a friend in transition can be an altered book themed around their event. In Carol Owen's upcoming class, you can learn how to construct an altered book that can be an interactive scrapbook, engaging photo journal or inspiring travel diary. Carol will show you how to construct fold-outs, pockets, pages and more.
