This tree at the West Regional Library in Cary was created by Tracey of Panopolie. She made it with books, artfully folded and stacked, over an armature of bamboo from my backyard. Elegant and then you think of the idea that this tree is made of books...which are made of trees...that's a whoa moment.
This is the second year Tracey has volunteered to make a tree for the libraries. Last year's was in the Cameron Village Library. Go check this one out, it will be up through early January. Here is a map to the library. For pics of last year's tree including some in-process construction photos, click here.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have admired the book tree at the Cameron Village Library many times. I will have to make a trip to see the new one now! I always wondered how long it took to make.
