I have been working on this necklace using Japanese rayon crepe cording and beads...oh, and these fab 3 mm felt balls...I just can't figure out how to finish it...chain? ribbon? more button links?

Hmm...I would think something loopy. Like a button with a button hole. That is a great organic design. I love it!

ReplyDeleteIf it was me I'd probably continue with the cording because I'd like to keep the softer feel of fabric rather than using metal. Maybe it could be combined with more button links and/or beaded embellishments? Not to much, but just enough to make the cording less bare.
I've been meaning to buy that type of cording for so long but never got around to it. Now I got an inspiring reminder -- thanks!
I would crochet a band, something a little bit lacy. But that said a ribbon would be nice and soft. Or some fat yarns and eyelash yarns braided together. I'm very into the braided rope style lately and have plenty of yarn in my stash to do so :)
