New Tutorial From Erin Siegel - Confetti Hoop Earrings

These Confetti Hoop Earrings are a sweet, colorful way to wear wrapped wire. The Magatama drop beads move nicely on the wire wraps, so there is a bit of a gypsy feel to these. Of course, the easy-to-follow directions from Erin Siegel are right here, just click!

Introducing....Amy Christie

We are so happy to have blogger Amy Christie joining us as a Contributing Designer here at Ornamentea. If you don't know her blog, you should. She's a mom of two with one of those lifestyle blogs that makes you want to cook a meal, clean out your entire house and find a really cute 2-year-old to chase around.

Okay, maybe not that last part. Two was fun, but I wouldn't go back. I would eat one of Amy's cakes, though. Or try this nifty polyclay project I first saw on Pinterest last year...

She's crafty, that girl. And we are happy to have her adding her ideas to the Big O this year. These earrings are just the thing for a bit of extra sparkle in your day...even if you do have to chase a two-year-old.

Visit Amy's blog, This Little Heart Of Mine, right here.

See the full instructions for these earrings right here.

See a picture of my almost 7-year-old when she was almost-2 here.

Knot large-hole pearls on leather - the Sebastapol Necklace

Our large hole freshwater pearls will accommodate leather or other cording up to 1.5 mm. We've knotted it onto leather, here, but you could also use our hand painted rayon gimp cording, or silk yarns, or even organza ribbon. You could create a long, knotted organza style that wraps around and around your wrist. Oh, that's a good idea!

New Tutorial - Easy Day Hoops

Sometimes our tutorials are really, really easy. These hoops are one of those projects. The whole point of this tutorial, and many of the others that are super-simple, is to teach a single idea or technique.

New Tutorial - The Barcelona Necklace

I love this new shape from Elaine Ray...the flat discs have matching-up holes along the edges that are just perfect for lacing and linking. The full tutorial even has an idea for keeping track of your lacing. I always get confused unless I draw it out first.

Check out the DIY instructions here.

New Tutorial - Eudora Statement Bib Necklace

Oh, this necklace makes me swoon. I really adore it. I know, I'm not supposed to have 'favorite' designs but this one IS a favorite. The ribbony bits at the back are so pretty...and the stacked jump rings on the sides are almost Egyptian. It looks like something a crazy, Egypt-mad flapper would have worn to a luncheon with the local Ladies Art Society.

Hence the name. That Egyptophile Flapper would be called Eudora, wouldn't she?

Click the picture for the full project. The ribbon is bias-cut silk dupioni, the ceramic fans are the work of the talented Elaine Ray.
