Peace is PatrioticPersonally, I don't wear the flag. I grew up with the feeling that that is disrespectful; in early 70s Ohio with a Green Beret dad who distained 'hippies' with flags sewn on their jeans you kinda got that idea. The funny thing is that Dad now has tons of flag shirts and coats and socks...mostly made in China, I like to remind him!
this wallet is from
Sewcosmic on etsy.com...go visit her and buy a flag from an American designer.
I have a pal, my best friend actually, who is a free-spirited Pagan(as I am) but is also very patriotic....inher own way.....She has dozens of garments made of flags, flag material, applique, motifs, and so on. She also has a rad collection of vintage jewelry from the era when women first got the right to vote, such as huge rhinestone flag pins with a bold rhinestone VOTE! amongst the flags. On any President/Veteran/election or Flag day, she is decked out, and proud of it! I'll have to try for an election-day photo for ya---it must be seen to be believed, lol! I'm more conservative----a stickpin is more my style!
